miniLinguists’ Corporate and Professional Classes

For two decades, the Petit Centre Francophone, now part of, has been providing professional, efficient languages to professionals needing French to expand their horizons. We’ve taught the basics of oral and written grammar and vocabulary necessary to converse in French, as well as helping individuals work with the vocabulary of their field.

Our clients have included the Washington Post, employees of the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, USAID, several embassies, a local wine vendor and a host of doctors, scientists, Master’s and Doctoral candidates of universities such as American University and Howard University, as well as employees of contractors and organizations working in third world francophone countries.

Our method is efficient and individualized to your employee’s level and needs. Our organization focuses on providing the most innovative approaches to teaching your employees French. We make a plan based on your timing, goals and budget. Some beginning students attain an intermediate level of speaking French in as few as thirty-two to forty-eight hours of lessons. This is due to our not following the same program for all groups or individuals. The approach is the same, but we’ll move as quickly as your students can follow, and adapt the vocabulary and exercises to your industry and needs.

The specialty of our unique approach is to help the student to hear the French, and to learn to speak without focusing on translation. With a concentration on teaching grammar orally, the students are able to create sentences more quickly than those who study with other schools.

All instructors are native or native-level speakers. You choose whether you want private or group lessons. Call 301 461-3291 to plan a meeting about your language needs or e-mail our Director, Kaaren Agnez, at
